Randy Stephens Brooks of Plano, Texas passed away on January 1, 2022 at the age of 68. He was born on September 15, 1953 to Stephens and Annabel (Deen) Brooks in Houston, Texas. Randy graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College and summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University. He became a born-again Christian while at Dartmouth College. Randy was very intelligent, humble, and generous beyond belief.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Vicki Brooks; and sister, Missie Coleman and husband, Bruce of New Mexico; and other loving family and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

Randy lived right down the street from me growing up. Rode the bus together. Whenever they had a new James Bond movie come out we would go watch it at the Oak Villiage movie house. He was not as wild and crazy as me for sure but smart he was and fun to be around. Like almost everyone else after high school we never saw each other again.
Rest well, Randy. If by some miracle I make it to Heaven and they show old movies from time to time perhaps we can enjoy a watching Goldfinger and Thunderball again. I'm buying the popcorn if they do.

This is difficult to take in. Randy was a very good friend and band-mate. He was one of the smartest people I ever knew and had a very quick sense of humor. I wish his family the best and hope they can focus on the joy that he certainly brought to them.
