Another of the Hollibrook gang. Dorlisa lived across the street from Hollibrook and had a sweet mother who came by often. I have so many memories of her from those years. Her mother came to Dorlisa and my 5th grade class( Ms. Alexander) with the news that the President was shot. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
Yes, another Hollibrook gal has passed away. I saw Dorlisa at the 20th reunion and she looked absolutely gorgeous. I remember she lived very close to the school and had a very kind mother. We loved going to her house to play and for birthday parties, etc because they had a very large backyard with lots of trees. She was also in my Brownie troop. I know her family misses her every day and has wonderful memories to cherish.
I was very saddened to learn of Dorlisa's death in 2005. She was a beautiful person inside and out! I will never forget those beautiful blue eyes. I remember her sweet Daddy sitting on the driveway...on their street...on the corner. I remember her Mother, Beulah was a feistly lady!
Dorlisa was a wonderful Mother to her 2 children! Although, I knew she had battled this disease...I had hoped for a different outcome. Rest in peace, fly with the angels...my sweet friend Dorlisa!
OH geez, I am so sorry to know this, I always liked Dorlisa, from when we were young and in Scouts together...and had such a nice time seeing her at reunions. Big bummer. Well Dorlisa, you will be missed, I have thought of you often and wondered how and where you were....and you will be fondly remembered by me.
I remember her beautiful black hair and beautiful blue eyes. I only moved to the area in 8th grade and we met in 9th grade. Last time to see Dorlisa I was at the Houston Zoo with my three kids when they were very young and she had her two with her. Yes she seemed to love being a mother as much as I did. I was so sad to hear and was looking for her at the 40th reunion. She will be greatly missed.
