Since a number of other people have already commented on this one, I think I am "somewhat famous" - or more likely "extremely stupid" - in that I ate a part of a formaldehyde-soaked sheep's heart to win a $10 bet with Ed Williams... and yes I did soon after that get totally sick!
stayed away from college for about one and a half years working as a printing press operator
Texas A&M for one semester then transferred to Utah State University - graduated with a major in Forestry Biology
worked for Apple Computer (most of it in the Cupertino CA corporate offices) for 10 years - got to do some really cool international traveling
now living since 2007 in Bali Indonesia, getting paid to stay at luxury hotels and villas and shooting photos of them for the owner's marketing materials
road cycling (which is impossible in Bali with the horrible roads and the honestly insane motor bike/car traffic), running (which IS possible), photography (which I actually get paid to do)
I became a follower of Jesus during the 2nd semester of our senior year - Feb 1, 1971 - and I have been following Him ever since. Some times more distantly and some times very closely. I owe my life to Him and I am SO thankful for how faithful He has been and for the wonderful paths He has led me down.

Miss Cates (oops, Wiggins) - it's been forever ya? Hope you have a truly awesome day on your birthday. I know I'm sending this wish a couple of days early - which is a huge no-no here in Indonesia, but I think it's still ok back home. God bless you and your family, Rick
Hey Ed - happy birthday a day in advance (it's already the evening of the 18th here in Bali) - tell you what, I'll give you $10 as a b'day present if you eat a piece of sheep's aorta - what do you think?
